Jennifer J. Wright McDougal, PhD, LCMHC, LCAS, CRC, received her B.S. in Psychology from Appalachian State University, her M.S. in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling as well as her PhD in Rehabilitation and Counseling Administration from East Carolina University.

Dr. McDougal is the director of the Rehabilitation Services Program, coordinator of the Alcohol and Drug Studies Minor, and interim co-coordinator of the Military and Trauma Certificate. Her research interests include stigma and how it impacts both treatment-seeking behaviors in chronic illness and disability and employment rates for people with substance abuse and mental health disabilities
